Multi-Surface Hollow Spheres are manufactured from eco-friendly plastics (PP, PVC, CPVC, RPP, etc.). They are primarily used in cooling towers and purification towers for removing gases such as oxygen, and carbon dioxide. The spherical-shaped filler comes in standard sizes: φ25mm, φ38mm, φ50mm, φ76mm, and φ100mm.
Each hollow sphere consists of two hemispherical halves. Each hemisphere features 8-12 semi-fan-shaped blades designed to interlock with the opposing hemisphere. Key characteristics include a high surface area and porosity. However, the dense arrangement of blades creates shading effects, which may hinder liquid distribution and wetting efficiency. Liquid tends to accumulate in the hollow central column, impeding gas flow and increasing resistance. This filler is widely used in wastewater treatment and gas purification systems.
